I love food from all over the world and I love to try and cook all different kinds of food too. Two helps to my cooking has been these cookbooks. For Chinese cooking I like Yan-kit's classic Chinese cookbook. Brent and Anna introduced me to it and it is fabulous. The recipes are great and they even show pictures of the ingredients that are more unusual to help you find them at the store. The other cookbook is Madhur Jaffrey's Indian Cooking. I love Indian food and this has given me some great recipes. I'll have to admit though that it's not the easiest to follow. It uses litres and grams instead of cups and pounds. So I always end up guesstimating exactly how
much I am supposed to use. For that reason I have only tried a limited number of recipes in this book, but it sure is good food.

Hey Allison, I copied a couple of your recipies to try (milk shake, french fries and pudding) We are alway looking for something new to put into the rotation. Let me know if you find something else yummy.
I will have to invite myself over for dinner when you are making Chinese, I love Chinese food and your cooking is the best! I agree with you on the library, it is the BEST place for all your reading needs :)
I've been known to check out cookbooks from the library also. Great post. Makes me want to cook Indian again.
What a great idea... the library! I love cookbooks and have WAY too many- I'm a sucker for them. This is a great way to "test drive" a cookbook! Thanks for the suggestion!
Your husband grew up in my ward and was friends with my brother. Rebecca was my best-est high school buddy.
Your family is adorable and I love your recipes- I'll be stopping by often for more ideas!
